Requirements For Flex Face Vinyl

A hardcopy printout must be sent for all jobs!

Disk format:  Mac or PC Zip disk, floppy disk, Jaz disk (1GB & 2GB) or CD ROM

E-Mail:  Files sent via e-mail should be stuffed/zipped and attached to e-mail messages.  They must be sent to our prepress department at production@bostonbillboards.com.

Software: 

Photographic images:  All high-resolution images on disk should be accompanied by a client-approved proof for color.  Scanned photographic images need to be at 300 dpi or greater when placed in the intermediate sized layout.  If you prefer, we can scan your photographs/transparencies.  All photographs should be saved in CMYK mode, NOT RGB mode.

Page Layout:  For best results, build your file to 1/2" = one foot.  Be sure to include all placed graphics and images as well as all printer and screen fonts.  If you build the layout in Illustrator, Freehand or CorelDraw, please include any embedded photographs separately on the disk as well.  Please avoid placing type directly in PhotoShop files as this reduces the quality of the type.  Please do not rotate images in your page layout program, do this in PhotoShop before placing the image in the document. You do not need to trap your file; we will trap it when we output films.
